Gemma Lafuente Gomez

I'm a neurology resident at the Gregorio Marañón University General Hospital in Madrid, Spain. Since the beginning of my specialist training, I have developed a keen interest in neuro-oncology and neuro-immunology. Having the opportunity to learn from the clinical practice and research of the team at the French Reference Center of Paraneoplastic Neurological Syndromes and Autoimmune Encephalitis is a privilege given its international prestige.

The reception has been excellent. The positive and supportive working environment fosters a sense of ease and enables me to work comfortably with my colleagues.

My research during the internship is based on the study of limbic encephalitis associated with CASPR2 antibodies and the clinical description of paraneoplastic Kelch-like Protein (KLHL11) encephalitis.
