Elisabetta Rolla, MD

I am a final-year Neurology Resident at the ASST Spedali Civili of Brescia (Italy), specializing in the field of epileptology with a strong focus on neuroimmunology. Following targeted training in Udine and Verona, I joined the French Reference Center for Paraneoplastic Neurological Syndromes and Autoimmune Encephalitis in Lyon in March 2026.

My current work within Prof. Honnorat’s team focuses on a multicenter research project investigating the role of electroencephalography in the early differential diagnosis of autoimmune encephalitis. In addition to this, I am involved in neuroimaging studies exploring autoimmune encephalitis's prognosis and their overlap with other neuroimmunological disorders. This fellowship allows me to integrate high-level clinical management with cutting-edge research, and I am honored to collaborate with such a prestigious center of excellence to further my expertise in this fascinating field. I am very glad to be part of this group and I truly appreciate the welcoming environment.
