Pierre Coulie

Pierre Coulie, MD PhD is a Professor at the University of Louvain located in Brussels and member of the Belgian Royal Academy of Medicine. He made important contributions to the identification of human tumor-specific antigens recognized by T lymphocytes and to the understanding of the mechanisms of tumor regressions. He leads a research group at the de Duve Institute and he is an expert in cytotoxic responses against tumor antigens​.

His current research focuses on the immunogenicity of breast and bladder carcinomas, especially at the early stage of tumor development, and on the unconventional secretion process of IL-1ß by human monocytic cells.
